EasyJet Launches Nine New UK Routes — Is Your Airport on the List?

EasyJet Launches Nine New UK Routes — Is Your Airport on the List?

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to book a winter getaway, easyJet may have just handed you one. The airline announced nine brand-new routes from six UK airports on Friday 24 April 2026, covering a decent spread of destinations from sun-soaked beaches to European city breaks.

The new routes include flights from Birmingham to Agadir, Belfast International to both Rome and Sharm El Sheikh, London Luton to Ljubljana, London Southend to Budapest, Newcastle to Fuerteventura, Reykjavik, and Krakow, and Southampton to Paris.

All nine routes are part of easyJet’s winter 2026/27 schedule, so don’t go rushing to pack your bags just yet — services kick off from 25 October, starting with the Southampton to Paris Charles de Gaulle route, which will run twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

What’s particularly interesting here is the exclusivity angle. easyJet will be the only airline operating from Belfast International to Sharm El Sheikh, and the only carrier offering a regular connection from Belfast International to Rome. It will also be the sole operator on the London Southend to Budapest and London Luton to Ljubljana routes. For travellers at those airports, that means no real competition on price — so booking early is probably wise.

Newcastle passengers have got a good deal here too, with three new routes added from the airline’s recently opened base there. Flights to Fuerteventura, Krakow, and Reykjavik launch on 25, 26, and 27 October respectively.

The Birmingham to Agadir route — connecting travellers to Morocco’s coastal resort — begins on 27 October, operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

On the holiday packages side, easyJet Holidays is offering packages to all destinations, inclusive of flights and hotel, plus 23kg luggage and transfers on beach destinations such as Agadir, Sharm El Sheikh, and Fuerteventura, with one-way fares starting at £23.99 on the Southend to Budapest route.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said the expansion was about giving customers more choice at affordable prices, whether they’re after winter sun or a weekend in a European capital.

It’s a solid announcement for regional airports in particular. Not everything has to go through Heathrow, and it’s good to see places like Southend, Southampton, and Newcastle getting more direct routes to destinations that would otherwise mean a connection or a long drive to a bigger hub.

If any of these routes are useful to you, it’s worth checking availability sooner rather than later — winter sun seats tend to go quickly once the schools sort their half-term dates.
