Liverpool’s private hire landscape has undergone a significant transformation as Britannia Taxis, a stalwart in the region for over 30 years, has officially rebranded under the Veezu name. This move follows Veezu’s acquisition of Britannia Taxis in May 2023, a strategic step in Veezu’s mission to unify and modernise private hire services across the UK.

The rebranding is more than a cosmetic change; it signifies a commitment to enhanced technology and improved customer experience. Passengers can now benefit from the Veezu app, offering features such as live ride tracking, multiple payment options including Apple Pay and Google Pay, and the ability to pre-book rides well in advance.
Chris Neary, Veezu’s Regional Operations Director, emphasised the company’s focus on local communities:
