A van driver who flashed their headlights to warn other motorists of a police speed check ahead has been arrested for drug driving, authorities have confirmed.
The incident occurred in Merseyside, where officers from the Safer Roads Team were conducting speed enforcement operations. The driver was observed flashing their headlights to alert oncoming traffic, an action that drew the attention of law enforcement.
Upon stopping the vehicle, officers conducted routine checks and a roadside drug test, which the driver subsequently failed. The individual was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and is now facing further legal proceedings.
