A video circulating on Instagram shows professional wrestler Darby Allin involved in a heated exchange with an Uber driver while travelling in the back of a car.
In the clip, Darby Allin appears to be recording or participating in a live podcast interview from the rear seat of the vehicle. As the interview continues, the driver interrupts, saying:
“Sir, hate to interrupt your AA or therapy session, it’s kind of rude of you to be on speaker phone in someone’s Uber.”
Allin responds by asking if he can finish. The driver then replies:
“I’ve been out working since 5am, I’m tired. Can you hang up the phone.”
The exchange continues back and forth, with the person conducting the interview also becoming involved in the conversation over the speaker.

According to the footage shared on Instagram, the situation escalates further when the driver pulls over on the highway and demands that Allin get out of the vehicle. The driver is seen shouting, hitting the steering wheel and repeatedly telling the passenger to leave the car.
It is unclear from the clip what happened immediately after the recording ended, or whether Uber has commented on the incident.
DM News Commentary
This clip raises questions about passenger etiquette and driver professionalism.
On one hand, drivers are entitled to a respectful working environment. Being on a loudspeaker for an extended period, especially during a long shift, can be frustrating — particularly if it disrupts concentration.
On the other hand, pulling over on a highway and aggressively demanding a passenger exit the vehicle is concerning. Safety should always come first, and disputes should be handled calmly and in line with platform guidelines.
For drivers in the private hire trade, situations like this are reminders of how quickly tensions can escalate. Clear communication early on — for example politely asking a passenger to use headphones — could potentially prevent incidents like this from spiralling.
As always, professionalism protects both your rating and your livelihood.
