Nissan has confirmed that its forthcoming fully electric A-segment city car will be called the Pixo, with the manufacturer scheduling a full reveal for 23 September 2026.
The new Pixo is being developed for European customers and will be produced in Europe, Nissan said in its announcement on 9 September. The model is intended to expand the company’s European electric line-up and marks Nissan’s return to the region’s A-segment, according to the manufacturer.
Nissan describes the Pixo as a compact model aimed at urban mobility. It says the car will combine compact dimensions, technology and Nissan design, but has not yet published the measurements or final technical details behind those claims.
Battery capacity, driving range, price and UK order timing have not been announced. Nissan has also not released final specifications for the car. The 23 September date is a reveal date, not confirmation of a UK sales launch or deliveries.

The Pixo name was previously used by Nissan for a petrol city car. The newly announced model, however, is fully electric. Nissan says it will sit alongside the electric Leaf and Micra in its European range, while an electric Juke is planned for a later date.
The announcement gives urban private-hire drivers and operators an early indication that Nissan plans to add another small electric model to its European offer. However, Nissan has not presented the Pixo as a taxi or fleet product, and there is no published information yet on passenger space, luggage capacity, charging performance or operating range.
Those details will be material for any driver or business assessing whether the car could suit city work. Until Nissan releases them, no conclusion can be drawn about the Pixo’s likely suitability for private hire, airport runs or other commercial passenger use.
