Manchester Airport has officially marked the completion of its decade-long, £1.3 billion transformation, with the final phase of its state-of-the-art “super-terminal” now fully operational. In a touching tribute to the airport’s heritage, the new security hall features a reimagined version of the iconic Venetian chandeliers that hung in Terminal 1 when it first opened in the 1960s.
