The Port of Dover said traffic and operations had returned to normal following a protest that disrupted access on the morning of 5 September 2026.
In its final update, issued at 12:30, the port said all routes into and out of both the port and Dover were open.
It added that traffic was moving freely after what it described as a public-order incident managed by police.

The update follows earlier disruption that blocked road access and led to queues.
The Port of Dover did not identify those involved in the protest, give an arrest figure or provide details of any criminal offences.
Travellers planning to travel through Dover should check live port and operator information before setting out, as the update confirmed the position at the time it was issued.
