EasyJet will stop flying from Leeds Bradford Airport in January 2027, bringing its operations at the Yorkshire airport to an end after around 16 years.
The airline has confirmed that no easyJet flights will operate from Leeds Bradford after 5 January 2027. The decision follows a review of its network, with the carrier saying it is concentrating aircraft and capacity on routes where it sees the strongest opportunities.
easyJet currently serves a small group of direct destinations from Leeds Bradford, including Palma, Malaga, Paris, Barcelona and Belfast. Flights are expected to continue as normal until the January cut-off date.
Passengers already booked to travel after 5 January are being contacted by easyJet. The airline says affected customers will be offered options including transferring to an alternative flight free of charge or receiving a refund, depending on their booking.
The withdrawal is a notable change for Leeds Bradford because easyJet has been part of the airport’s airline mix for well over a decade. It also reduces competition on some popular leisure and city routes, although other airlines continue to operate from the airport.
Travellers with 2027 bookings should check their email and easyJet account rather than waiting until close to departure, particularly if accommodation, airport parking or onward transport has already been arranged around the original flight.
