Driving Health offers year-round healthcare membership for professional drivers

Driving Health is offering a year-round healthcare and wellbeing membership aimed at professional drivers, with virtual GP appointments, mental-health support and services including physiotherapy and dietitian assessments.

The provider says members can access GP appointments by phone or video between 8am and 10pm, seven days a week. The package also includes access to a 24-hour mental-health support line and up to six structured counselling sessions, subject to the service terms.

Physical health support includes an initial physiotherapy assessment and up to six follow-up appointments. Members can also receive an initial dietitian assessment and up to three follow-up sessions.

Eligible dependants can use the digital healthcare services included in the membership. Drivers can also request reminders ahead of medical and licence renewal dates.

Taxi and private hire operators can find booking and dispatch tools from DM Taxi Assistant.

One annual driver benefit is available through the package. Members can choose up to £55 towards a qualifying driver medical, a home blood-pressure monitor, or an eye-test and eyewear benefit.

The monthly membership option requires a first payment of £29, followed by payments of £14.99 a month, and has a 12-month minimum term. An annual membership is listed at £179 for 12 months.

Drivers on the annual option can access the annual driver benefit after 14 days. Monthly members become eligible after making six successful payments.

Driving Health says its business membership can be tailored around fleet size, existing employee benefits and employer-funded driver-medical arrangements. Its business package can also include planned medical arrangements, including sessions at an employer’s premises where appropriate.

The provider positions the service as a way for drivers to access support around working patterns, rather than relying solely on daytime appointments.
