Harris Group launched Harris Rentals on 7 September 2026, creating a dedicated commercial-vehicle rental operation for customers across the UK and Ireland. The move expands the group’s commercial-vehicle offering into rental rather than representing the launch of a new vehicle model.
The rental business is expected to provide vehicles from four product ranges reported within the group’s offer: Maxus, Higer, Isuzu and Sinotruk. Its principal focus will be rental agreements lasting several months or longer, giving the operation a longer-term proposition alongside shorter hire periods. Daily and weekly rental options will also be available.
Harris Rentals is expected to operate through strategic locations in the UK and Ireland. The planned delivery model will use Harris Group infrastructure and dealer support, linking the new operation to the group’s existing commercial-vehicle footprint. Its established sales and aftersales presence is also part of the infrastructure identified for supporting the rental business.
Mike Williams has been appointed managing director of Harris Rentals. His role is to establish and develop the operation. Williams brings a lengthy background in the truck-rental sector with Dawsongroup, experience that is relevant to a business combining longer-duration rentals with daily and weekly hires.

The proposition is therefore built around two broad requirements: customers needing a vehicle for several months or longer, and those seeking a shorter daily or weekly rental. The business is intended to serve both the UK and Ireland through the Harris Group network and planned strategic locations, rather than being limited to a single site.
Harris Group has described the launch as part of its wider aim to expand its commercial-vehicle offering. The rental operation will add a new business activity around the group’s existing dealer and support infrastructure, while the four reported vehicle brands provide the initial breadth of its vehicle offer.
The expansion also sits within the group’s longer-term corporate ambitions. Harris Group has stated an objective of reaching annual revenue of €1 billion by 2030. Harris Rentals is one element of the group’s stated commercial-vehicle expansion plans, with its management, location strategy and rental structure now being developed for the UK and Ireland market.
