Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed plans to reduce its workforce by up to 4,000 jobs over the next two years as it pursues lower costs and improved competitiveness.
The planned departures are described as voluntary. No compulsory redundancies have been announced, and Jaguar Land Rover has not set out which sites or job functions could be affected.
The workforce reduction forms part of a wider programme aimed at delivering £1.7 billion in savings and lowering the company’s break-even volume towards 300,000 vehicles.
