Severe weather has caused a devistating crash on the M6 Thelwall Viaduct – Lorry crash.

Taxi drivers are reporting a severe crash on the M6 Thelwall Viaduct in which a lorry has come off the M6 Thelwall Viaduct. This happened around 6.50 pm 30th of September so expect huge delays all around this area for many hours. Hopefully, the driver will come out of this unharmed.

“Officers have been dealing with a serious collision on the M6 northbound – with lane closures expected to remain in place into tomorrow morning.

Earlier this evening (30 Sep) police were called to reports of an incident on Thelwall Viaduct.

The incident involved a lorry which had come off the carriageway. The driver is not believed to have suffered any life-threatening injuries.

Three lanes remain closed on the northbound carriageway due to serious damage caused to the barrier.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route.”
