New Routes Announced from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for 2026

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is set for another year of expansion, with airlines adding a host of new routes for winter 2025 and into 2026. The additions strengthen Liverpool’s position as one of the fastest-growing regional airports in the UK, offering more choice for holidaymakers, business travellers, and the local taxi and private hire trade that depends on airport traffic.

Ryanair Expands European Network

Ryanair will introduce two new services from Liverpool:

  • Turin, Italy – launching on 13 December 2025, operating once a week, giving passengers direct access to the Italian Alps for ski holidays.
  • Warsaw, Poland – starting 2 February 2026, with three flights per week, enhancing links between Liverpool and Poland’s capital.

In addition, Ryanair is boosting frequencies on existing popular routes, including Alicante, Kraków, and Poznań.

easyJet’s New Routes and Schedule

easyJet continues to expand at LJLA, announcing several new connections:

  • Kraków and Vienna – added for the winter schedule, offering cultural city-break options.
  • Spring 2026 – easyJet will operate more than 3,700 flights from Liverpool, with direct services to Paris, Nice, Barcelona and other European favourites.
  • Summer 2026 “Big Seat Release” included destinations such as Derry, Malta, Enfidha (Tunisia), Hurghada (Egypt), Corfu, and Split (Croatia).

This expansion cements easyJet’s role as one of Liverpool’s largest operators, giving passengers more city break and sun holiday choices.

Boost for the North West Travel Trade

With over 70 direct destinations now available from LJLA, the airport’s growing route map is expected to drive passenger numbers higher through 2026. For local private hire drivers and airport transfer firms, this growth means more demand for journeys to and from Liverpool Airport, especially during peak holiday seasons.

The addition of new European destinations is also expected to attract inbound tourism, creating knock-on benefits for hotels, hospitality, and the wider Liverpool City Region economy.
