Milton keynes taxi driver threatened with screwdriver in attempted robbery

A taxi driver in Milton Keynes was left shaken after being threatened by a teenage boy armed with a screwdriver during an attempted robbery.

According to Thames Valley Police, the incident occurred on Kensington Drive between 4.10pm and 5.10pm on Saturday, 18 October.

Police say the suspect approached the driver and demanded money while brandishing the weapon. The victim managed to drive away and was unharmed, though officers confirmed the incident is being treated as an attempted robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 16 to 18 years old, of slim build, wearing dark clothing and a face covering. Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the area to come forward.

Detective Constable Jenny Watts said in the appeal:

“This was a frightening ordeal for the victim, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a young man matching the description in the area at the time.”
