Glasgow Taxis Launches QR Code Feedback System for Passengers

Glasgow Taxis has introduced a new customer feedback system, allowing passengers to instantly rate their journey using a QR code displayed in every vehicle. The code links directly to a quick, user-friendly online form where customers can review the service, price, driver, and vehicle, as well as leave written comments.

The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to “customer service excellence” and complements its existing “Mystery Shopper” programme.

Dougie McPherson, Chairman of Glasgow Taxis, praised the simplicity of the process:

“The form is so easy it can be filled in less than a minute and that speed and simplicity is what consumers desire in the modern digital age.”

Addressing the motivation behind the scheme, McPherson added:

“We are aware of some reports of unethical practices within the trade and this is our robust response, to provide safeguards and reassure our customers of the standards we expect all drivers to meet.”

The feedback form is anonymous by default, collecting no personal details unless the passenger chooses to provide them. It also reminds customers that all journeys within the Glasgow boundary must be calculated by the taxi meter and cannot exceed the metered fare, helping ensure fare transparency.
