Passengers flying with Jet2 to and from Greece this week are being urged to check their flight times, after the airline announced several departures will leave earlier than scheduled due to national strike action in Greece.

Advice for Travellers

Jet2 has confirmed that check-in will now open two hours before the new departure time and close 40 minutes before. Customers are being strongly advised to arrive at the airport on time, as missing these earlier departures could leave them stranded.

While the strike is beyond Jet2’s control, the airline has said it is doing everything possible to minimise disruption. The company stressed that all its flights are planned to operate as normal, provided passengers allow extra time for travel and check-in.

Wider Disruption Expected in Greece

The Greek national strike may also impact local transport such as taxis and ferries, so passengers travelling onwards after landing are advised to plan ahead and expect delays.

Jet2 says it will continue to monitor the situation closely and publish further updates on its website if needed.

✈️ Bottom line: If you’re flying between the UK and Greece with Jet2 this week, check your booking immediately – your flight could be leaving much earlier than expected.
