Bovensiepen has introduced the Spider as an open two-seat sports car, with production limited to 99 hand-built examples. The manufacturer presents it as a front-engined roadster designed around a long bonnet, a rear-set cockpit and short overhangs.
Power comes from an inline six-cylinder engine. Bovensiepen quotes output of 320kW, equivalent to 435PS, with maximum torque stated at 580Nm. The manufacturer gives a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.2 seconds and a standard top-speed figure of 260km/h. It also quotes a power-to-weight figure of 3.6kg per PS.
The Spider’s standard top speed should be distinguished from the higher figure associated with its Performance Package. With that package, the stated maximum rises to 295km/h. The package also includes an upgraded rear differential cover and additional underbody bracing, while the car uses retuned dampers.
Bovensiepen says the engine’s intake path has been opened up and supplemented with a ram-air channel. The intake silencer and sports exhaust have also been revised to improve airflow. These changes are described alongside the Spider’s performance figures, but the manufacturer does not provide a separate output figure for the Performance Package in the supplied product information.

The exterior components were developed with automotive designer Frank Stephenson. Bovensiepen says this follows their earlier work on the Bovensiepen 05 GT. Bovensiepen lists a preliminary manufacturer consumption figure of 8.8 litres per 100km. Its provisional combined carbon dioxide emissions figure is 199g/km under WLTP-related manufacturer reporting. Both figures are identified as preliminary or provisional rather than final independent test results.
The 260km/h figure applies to the listed standard specification, while 295km/h is available only with the Performance Package. The official product material supplied for the Spider does not identify a donor vehicle or set out a UK price.
