Rail regulator authorises Balgray station ahead of 27 September opening

The Office of Rail and Road has authorised Balgray station in Barrhead ahead of its planned opening to passengers on Sunday 27 September 2026.

The authorisation, issued on 4 September, clears the station to open on the scheduled date. Balgray has been authorised but is not yet open to passengers.

The regulator said its approval covers the station’s platforms, footbridge, lifts and passenger facilities.

The confirmed passenger opening date is 27 September 2026.
